I think Jensyn Irene is very pretty and sounds fine with your other children

I don't think that was 'cruel', it was blunt.

I kind of like it spelled Jensyn. It's not my style, but I don't intensely dislike it. I myself would probably favor Jenna more - or Janna.

as far as it being so different in style from your other names, I don't see taht as a problem.

is your Jordan a boy or girl? I know it's predominantly used for boys, but I know a few girls with it.

with you having all Js and mixture of genders, my concern would be people will see the list and wonder if Jensyn is a boy or girl, although yes, the Y does feminize it.

other J girl names that I like: Jocelyn (although maybe too close to Joshua for that), Jillian, Johanna

good luck

I like it but not for a girl. What about Jada, Jalynn and Jacie? Those are great girlie names. Whatever you decide I'm just glad you're sticking with Js. One family I know named their last kid with an L-sticks out like a sore thumb-even the parents are Js. I also knew a girl once name Jalayne, equally unique, but not quite so questionable as far as the sex.

I also know a Jeana (Gina)

Personally, I don't think that name styles have to 'match'. I'm not personally fond of the name Jensyn, but I think you should use it if you like it. I like the name Juliet a lot, not overly common, and can be shortened to the more common Julie. If there is a name starting with a letter other than 'J' that you really prefer, please don't be afraid to use it.

Congrats

I am not crazy about Jensyn speeled anyway. It does not seem feminine to me. ALso compared to your other children's names it doesn't seem to flow well. I like the suggestion of Jenna.

I also like Jill or Jillian. You could even do Jennifer since nobody has used that name in years after the 70 and 80's Jennifer wave.

I'm sorry I was harsh in my post, but I was just trying to be honest. I'm just so sick of seeing people insert random y's into boys names and saying that makes them feminine.....but I wasn't trying to be mean and I'm sorry I came across that way.

I don't really care for Jensyn - I don't care for last names as first names too much to begin with and y's seem to be showing up everywhere. I really like Jenna though. There are also plenty of other J names, here are some off the top of my head - Jaqueline, Jocelyn, Jennifer, Janet, Joella, Joellen, Janine, Jasmine, Jaime, Jaima, Janelle, Jane, Jannae, Jeanette, Jean , Jolanda, Jerilyn, Joan, Janice, Joanne, Joanna, Jodie, Joy, Joyce, Johanna, Joleen.

I know you have so many posts already but I just had to add my 2cents... I REALLY REALLY like John Walter - My DH is a John and I LOVE IT!!! GREAT NAME! For Jensyn - I don't really care for it; it's not as pretty as your other DD (Jessica) and it is really masculine... I do REALLY like Julia, Julianna & Julianne. I don't care for Jenna either (probably only because I knew nasty ones. LOL) I really like Jalayne too - that was my college roommates name. Pronounced "Juh Layne" - Her dad picked it out because the syllables spelled out ANGEL(reversed)... "ANE GUL" to "GUL ANE"... get it? Anyway, I like the story behind it and think it's prettier than Jensyn..

Good Luck & Keep us posted on what you choose! B~
