I found a few more names that are different. What do you think? Some are old family names. Let me know.

Adelaide nn Addie

Isidore

Adena

Sumner (not sure if this is a boy or girl name)

Shia

Kipton (a boy in my son's class - nn Kip)

I would love your opinions on these.

My neighbor's 5 year old DD is Adelaide - nn Addie. She is a cutie and it's a sweet name.

I also like Adena from your list. Kipton isn't too bad either, except that it rhymes with Lipton.

I love Adelaide and Isidore, though I prefer Isadora for a girl. I like Sumner and Kipton, but only if it's a name in your family. If not, then they fall into that same category with Kennedy and McKenzie: random last names that have no business being first names. I like either of them for a boy, but I'm not sure of them on a girl.

I really dislike Shia and Adena.

Adelaide nn Addie -- love, love, love it. Addie is SO sweet and pretty, and I so prefer it as nn for the sweet, feminine, classic Adelaide than the trendy Addison. Absolutely love this one.

Isidore -- I really like this, but MUCH prefer the Isadore spelling (and I really like Isadora as well). Isidore just doesn't look quite right to me.

Adena -- hmm, this is just okay to me. It's not bad, just not a favorite. I really like the nn possibility of Dena.

Sumner (not sure if this is a boy or girl name) -- Love this on

Adelaide nn Addie - I like this; old fashioned sounding and ADdie is cute

Isidore - don't like

Adena - ok. Is it pronounced like Idina Menzel? - the originial wicked witch in the broadway show Wicked.

Sumner (not sure if this is a boy or girl name) - can't decide on this one

Shia - no

Kipton (a boy in my son's class - nn Kip) - I think Kip is such a cute nn for a little boy, but I dont think I like Kipton.

You uncover some great names to ponder!!

Adelaide nn Addie - Excellent name! So cute, yet can grow with the child

Isidore - don't like this, but like Isadora for a girl

Adena - this is cute, but I prefer Adelaide

Sumner (not sure if this is a boy or girl name) - Reminds me of Fort Sumter in South Carolina

Shia - nms

Kipton - Really don't like this name...the nn Kip reminds me of some little nerdy boy in school who would get beat up

Isidore- Not sure about this, however I like Isadore. Are they pronounced the same?

Adena- Very pretty, like this a lot

Sumner (not sure if this is a boy or girl name)- like this on a girl

Shia- Seems rather trendy to me, although its not horrible. I prefer Shea

Kipton (a boy in my son's class - nn Kip)- Kip is an adorable nn, I like it

I am a big fan of older names. My thoughts on your list:
I love Adelaide!
The spelling on Isidore looks off to me. I'm thinking Isadore...? Overall I don't like this name very much. It sounds clunky and when I read it phonetically "Is a Door" is all I can think of.
Adena - not my style.
Sumner - is okay...
Shia - is this male or female?
Kipton - Kip is a really cute nn but I don't like Kipton.

I love Isidore! Another that is somewhat similar to Isidore in sound is Isolde or Isolda.

Sumner is a great name! Traditionally it's used for boys, but I like it for both. However, if you name a girl Sumner, she will probably be correcting people calling her Summer for years to come.

I also love Kipton (very preppy - so, not sure if you want to go that way).

Good luck!
