i've always loved the name paris for a little girl. but, with paris hilton's rising fame the name has gotten more popular. does anyone know the origin of her name? why her parents named her that? would it be too 2004 to name a lttle girl paris? i'd love your info and comments.

There's a furniture store here named Hilton Furniture, and the guy on there has his new baby girl on the tv commercials and they named her Paris. OMG... I would NOT name my daughter Paris if my last name was Hilton! Bless her heart... and she's a cutie too!

this is quite a delemna that you're in. When my daughter was six and that was in 91 and we only knew one Paris. Nowadays the problem is because of a certain person who just so happens to be famous every one has to get in the act. Don't let that stop you. Use the name and let the teacher at school out which Paris is Paris. Back in my day the most common name was either Debbie or Sue. You can't change the times and you can't change people. You can only change yourself. Perahps you can find a real smashing mn.

I like the name too and in a few years no one will remember who Paris Hilton is anyway.

Go for it.

Paris was Helen's lover before she was kidnapped off to Troy, beginning the Trojan wars. Homer told their story in the Iliad. They were each supposed to be the most beautiful of all of their genders.
