I do think Nathan and Peyton sound rhymey with the 'nay' and 'pay' beginning sounds plus the same ending.
I think they are a little close. But I know of a family with Hayden (boy) and Peyton (girl) and it works for them.

how about Skylar for a girl - I know 3 girls named Skylar and about 4-5 boys (all different ages starting up at 27 and working down to 4)
