Hi everybody!
Thanks for all your help with picking a name that starts with Ol.
We now know that it's a girl and from the list that I came up with my husband selected Oliana.

The idea was to have a name that will be easy for her to live with at school and in adult life...

Please let me know how this name sounds to you from that point of view.

Thanks!

the way we talk we will most likely be saying OleAHna but we want to spell it Olianna now.
Olena is too close to Alena which is too slavic - I wanted to avoid ethnic names. We might use it for short anyway...

is this margarine something that people still use?

White Oleander was a good book about a girl who ends up in foster care because of her crazy mom. It's sad story about the foster system here.

Oleander is a pretty flower and Olianna is another verion of this flower name.

Yes, it is. I actually think it's kind of new, and if I remember correctly my mother was raving about how healthy it was (and something about Lee Iakoka - sp? - I think he owns it or something lol).

I LOVE it! It's so original and classy. It also reminded me of the name Oleander.
