Please help with in deciding name

I'm becoming a little frustrated that my H2B and I just can't both love a name. He finally says - you just pick something and I'll grow to love it. (Which I know is probably not the best way to choose our babies name). I'm sorry every month I'm back with a list!!!!

You ladies have helped me in the past to narrow some down - here's what I'm left with. I'm still open to something that you may think of.

Girls:
Tava - with a long "a" or short - ( is this just too different?)
Georgia
Tessa
Sophie
Devyn Rose
Evan Tru or Evyn Tru (I know Evan is almost always for a boy, but I do like it for a girl too)
Aydan - H2B likes
Lola
Ember

These are the only boy names he likes:
Everette
Evan
Truman - nn Tru
Rhylan

He's vetoing Cooper, Gage, Teddy

I like:

Tava
Georgia
Sophie
Lola
Ember
Everett- the extra 'e' makes it look feminine and I don't think it's needed
Evan

instead of Teddy how about Theo?

Georgia -

Girls:
Tava - with a long "a" or short - ( is this just too different?) - with a long A, kind of cute, different, not too out there, though - I think it's OK - fits well with your other kids names
Georgia - just don't like this, never did
Tessa - I like this one - fits with sibs names
Sophie - ok as nn for Sophia, but you really should use Sophia as the formal name
Devyn Rose - aaah, OK, Devin, Devon, Devyn is pretty unisex, heavier on boys lately
Evan Tru or Evyn Tru (I know Evan is almost always for a boy, but I do like it for a girl too) - don't like the

I think you have a good list. I hate that you have no help, but its pretty typical! I really like Evan for a girl too! I wouldn't change the spelling, though. You don't want to push it too much. What about Evan Sophie? Since Evan is unisex, I would use a feminine middle name.

I love love love Rhylan!! Don't know if I can talk DH into, but I'm certainly going to try. What about Rhylan Everette?

Let me know what ya think--Good Luck!

Okay so far - you are DEFINITELY helping me!!! and I need it desperately....
So I think just from these few posts I may eliminate a couple names, which is a step in the right direction! LOL!

So I'll take off Aydan, Lola, and Ember

I'm surprised so far that you ladies actually like Tava! Yeah!!!

And I think the suggestion of Rhylan Everett might be a strong contender. Do you think using a name that ends in "an" is too much with my others - Ashlynn and Kellan???

Uugh - I still like all the boy names

Trying to get there!!!

I actually think it's ideal that you can pick the name and he's agreed to grow to love it! I'm choosing our baby's first name on my own (my husband is choosing the last name), and in my opinion, it's GREAT. If it were up to him, the list would stop at John, Joseph, Mary and Ann (not that there is anything wrong with those names, they're just not my style). Anyway, here are my thoughts:

Girls:
Tava - with a long "a" or short - ( is this just too different?) - not my style, but not "too different," at all
Georgia - very pretty!
Tessa - too nicknamey for my taste, but I like it very much as a nickname for Theresa or Therese
Sophie - very pretty!
Devyn Rose - the y is just too trendy-looking for my taste, I prefer Devon
Evan Tru or Evyn Tru - I'm just so tired of boys' names for girls, and Evan is one of the main ones
Aydan - H2B likes - Again, I've just maxed out completely on the boys' name for girl trend, plus this spelling looks misspelled to me, personally.
Lola - Nice!
Ember - not my style, but it's OK

These are the only boy names he likes:
Everette - honestly, the final e makes this look super-feminine!! Everett is OK.
Evan - I like it for a boy.
Truman - nn Tru - it's OK
Rhylan - too trendy for my taste
