Sadie is lovely. As the second first name, I wouldn't use Ava OR Sienna. Ava is really popular right now and is just becoming boring. I don't think it goes that well with Sadie either. Sienna is too similar to Sadie. I hate matchy twin names! I would avoid any S name. Here are some ideas:

Sadie & Greta

Sadie & Megan

Sadie & Annabel

Sadie & Daphne

Sadie & Delilah

Sadie & Lila

Sadie & Gemma**** LOVE this

Sadie & Meredith

Sadie & Gillian/Jillian ****** LOVE this

Sadie & Courtney

Sadie & Ada (a nice alternative to Ava that works better with Sadie)

Sadie & Lauren

Sadie & Lorelei nn Rory

Sadie & Della

I hope that helps, I really, really love Sadie Lucille & Gemma Carolyn and Sadie Carolyn & Gillian/Jillian Lucille. WDYT?

I would definitely avoid Sienna with Sadie. They sound so similar and twins are already going to get mixed up as it is. Any two names that begin with the same sound are too matchy for me. Ava is extremely popular and is kind of getting like the Jennifer from the 80s. It still is a beautiful name though.

Good Luck!

I agree with the pp's- I love Sadie, but wouldn't use Sienna or Ava. How about Iva. It's similar to Ava, but different enough that she won't get lost in the million other Ava's out there. You could use the nn Ivy - Sadie and Ivy sound so adorable together!

Good Luck

With your picks I would create the following twin set for your baby girls.

Ava Lucille
Sadie Carolyn

I'm helping a friend name her twin baby girls--so fun!

I LOVE Sadie, but agree with pp about Ava and Sienna because of the popularity of Ava and the matchiness of Sienna.

Just something to think about--twins always have to struggle for their individuality, if you give one of them a really popular name, I think it adds to that struggle. Not ony are they already one of two, but they are also one of multiple others with the same name. You've already gotten lots of great suggestions, the one that caught my eye was Tessa. I think that Sadie and Tessa are a perfect match.

Good luck with whatever you choose--and congrats!

From your choices, I would go with:

Sadie Carolyn and Ava Lucille, or

Sara Lucille (nn Sadie) and Ava Carolyn

Between your choices, I would pick Ava over Sienna to be Sadie's sister. Sienna is too modern and trendy when compared to Sadie, and the matching initial thing is dated.

Ava is a solid choice, and a pretty one, but it's extremely popular and does feel like it's from a different era than Sadie. It's okay, but it's not a perfect fit. Have you thought about Lucy, Molly, Belle, Josephine/Josie, or Violet? They all share some of Sadie's bouncy charm.
