Please help-name advice

I am expecting in June, and I am having a horrible time coming up with names. I know if it's a boy, we want to name him Kaleb, but I don't know what middle name to use with that. And I have absolutely no clue on what to name it if it's a girl. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch

Honestly, my first suggestion is to spell Caleb correctly--lose the K.

Secondly, it's a bit difficult to suggest names without knowing anything about your taste. Can you give us any names that you like, or somehow otherwise indicate what your taste is? Without knowing anything else, what about Caroline, Tess, Charlotte, Catherine, Cate, Blaire, Elinor, Lillian, Lillie, Jude, Judith, Madeleine, or Juliette?

As for middle names for Caleb, what about Charles, Spencer, Mitchell, or Ethan? Or, what is your maiden name? What's his father's name? Is there anyone special you'd like to name him after?

Thank you so much! Sorry I was a bit vague on my tastes, I'm new to this, but I like the names (for a girl) Lily, Madelyn, Emma, and Grace. Something traditional, but not common, I guess. Does that help at all? My maiden name is Lucas, but practically every boy in my family has that as a middle name, and I wanted something original. Kaleb is a family name. Thank you again for your help.

that's an awfully wide open request on girls names, so I'll just list some I like and that I think would possibly be in your style range since Kaleb is your style for a boy. However, I really think you should use the Caleb spelling unless thre's some compelling reason for you to use a K, like both you and your husband's name both begin with K or something.

Caleb is biblical I think, rather traditional, older-fashioned, so it would be better with more traditional/classic middles: Caleb Andrew, Caleb Anthony, Caleb David, Caleb Daniel, Caleb Joseph, Caleb Joshua, Caleb Lucas, Caleb Matthew, Caleb Michael, Caleb Marcus, Caleb Nathaniel, Caleb Nicholas, Caleb Patrick, Caleb Robert, Caleb Stephen, Caleb Thomas, Caleb William.

girls, these are just names that I like, but I'm leaving out the really "frilly" sort of ones that I like as they probably are not your style since you like Caleb

Aubrey, Amber, Amy, Brenna, Cara, Corinne, Courtney, Delaney, Dannah, Elise, Holly, Heidi, Johanna, Janna, Kara, Kelsey, Moira or Maura, Molly, Nina, Paige, Rayna, Tessa.

This may not be your style at all, but what about Luca for a little girl. I really love the name...it's easy to say and spell, but it's still a bit exotic. Jennie Garth (from 90210) has a daughter named Luca Bella, and ever since I saw it, I've thought it was lovely.

I also love Lily...is there some specific reason you don't want to use it?

As for Kaleb, I forgive you for spelling it with a K, since it's a family name. :-) He could be Kaleb Luke, for something perhaps obvious but a bit different. I actually prefer Luke over Kaleb, but I don't know if anyone already uses that name in your family.

Thank you all so much! I think I've got it narrowed down to Kaleb Spencer, Kaleb Joseph, or Kaleb James. I know that Kaleb just looks weird, but it's very important to my husband that we use it, and I love the sound of the name, so I can live with it.

Luca is a really pretty name, but its not really my style. I really do love the name Lily for a girl, it's currently at the top of my list, but I wasn't sure if the name Lily was gaining in popularity or not, and I don't want my daughter to be the umpteenth Lily in her grade. I wanted her to have a more unique name. But if I'm wrong, and Lily isn't as popular as I think it is, then Lily is a very strong possibility for a name.

Any more suggestions you guys have would be great, I just blank everytime I try to think up names for my little girl. Just watch me go to all this trouble for a girls name and end up having a boy. Anyway, thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it!
