We are expecting our first girl (baby #3) the first week of March. I FINALLY got DH to weigh in on names for this little princess. Please offer your opinions on our top contender list for both first names and middle names.
Siblings are Justin Alexander and Nathan James, last name is italian, 2 syllables and rhymes with "Forty". I am trying to stay away from nns that end in the "ee" sound so as not to sound matchy with our ln.
First names
Cecelia/Celia (maybe Cecelia nn Celia? DH says this may be "too italian" with our italian ln...I think that's silly..wdyt?)
Cecelia Kathryn (Kathryn is my mom's name...goes well as a mn for all of these names, I think)
Amelia (DH's fave. I love it but am worried about nicknames...don't like Mia/Millie/Amy as nns...would prefer no nn)
Amelia Kate
Amelia Kathryn
Amelia Brooke
Sophia (DH also thinks "too italian")
Sophia Juliet
Sophia Kathryn
Sophia Elyse
Sabrina
Sabrina Kate
Sabrina Kathryn
Sabrina Juliet
Ariana/Arianna
Ariana Rose
Ariana Juliet
Juliana/Juliet
need mns
Evelyn (nn Ev)
Evelyn Reese
Evelyn Kate
Tessa (nn Tess)
Tessa Kathryn
Tessa Juliet
Thank you so much for your help! Feel free to make other suggestions!

Definitely Tessa katherine.
Aimee
I think Cecilia Kathryn is gorgeous, and you can bet she won't have 20 cecilia's that graduate with her. It'll make her an individual, yet it's gorgeous, and it just rolls off the tongue. Amelia is pretty as well.

Thank you so much, ladies! I'm going to share your feedback with DH and I'll keep you posted...now we're getting somewhere!

I much more prefer the Cecilia spelling. Celia is aslo lovely on its own. Cecilia Brooke is stunning :)
Sabrina Kathryn is my second fav.

Brooke
I'm not reading any of the replies until after I post mine, so as I don't get influenced :)
Cecelia/Celia / Cecelia Kathryn - the nn Cece is common for Cecelia, and it sounds like Sicily. I think your DH is right on that one, but Celia is much better.
Amelia - I love this. my little brother's name is Amelio (he is also Italian). I don't think ppl will call her Mia unless you introduce her that way. Ppl tend to call a person by the name they are introduced to them with. Of the mn choices you gave, I like Kate the best. Amelia is such an awesome name that whatever goes with it should be short, simple, and un-noteworthy.
Sophia - It's okay. NMS really, and I don't think it goes too well with the mn choices you gave. I'm not sure why.
Sabrina - Again, NMS. I think of the TV show, and that is all. Not really digging the given mn choices. Maybe a short mn with a vowel sound start that is not the a sound? Sabrina Elise?
Ariana/Arianna - I like this better than Sophia or Sabrina, but again, not digging the mn choices. It does need something short, but Rose just doesn't sound right with it.
Juliana/Juliet - NMS. Also, I'm of the school that they all match or none of them do, and your older two do not match each other.
Evelyn (nn Ev) - I do like this one. I think I like Reese better than Kate for a mn.
Tessa (nn Tess) - This is okay. Tessa sounds like it should be nn for something else, and I can see her getting asked all the time what it's short for. I like Kathryn much better than Juliet as a mn for this one.
My 2009 scrapping goal is 104 LOs - 73 down, 31 to go!
