We're expecting our first baby at the end of August. We don't know the gender yet, we find out in 2 weeks!
We've gone through websites and books a little to get a few name ideas.
Here are the names standing out at the moment. WDYT?
Girls:
We both like:
-Colleen (nm Lena)
-Corinne (nm Cori)
-Jacqueline (nm Jackie)
I also like:
-Lillian (nm Lilli)
-Evelyn
-Lorraine
-Renata
But I think we really both like one of the top 3, so it will likely be one of those if it is a girl.
I'm considering for a mn: Joy (after my grandmother) if it's one of the 1st 2 names.
Boys:
We're having more trouble with boy's names.
-Cameron (nm Cam) (DH really likes this one. My first thought was it's becoming too much of a girl's name?; but it really is growing on me.)
-Jack (We both like this one, but our names are Jenn and Jeff, thought it may be too goofy?)
-Caden (I think DH said he likes this one, I would consider it)
I like, but DH does not:
-Marcus
-Gregory
-Callum
-Camden
(I like for mn: Leander, Reed)?
I feel like I'm trying too hard with the boy's names!
We just have too many Michael's, Andrew's, David's, William's, Thomas', etc. already in our families.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
Jenn

I love your girls' list and I love the boys' list that your dh doesn't like.
Oh I love Corinne - great pick! I also like Cora. Evelyn is another great name.
Boys:
-Cameron (nm Cam) - if you love it, that is what is most important. It is becoming VERY popular as a girl's name, so be ready.
-Jack - I come from a family of all B's and it is cheesy, but it is not the end of the world :) I liked it, but my mother says if she could re-name us she would not do all B's. Jack is really hot right now, but it is a classic.
-Caden - super trendy, I would avoid this name
I like, but DH does not:
-Marcus
-Gregory
-Callum
-Camden - really? this seems like such a great compromise!
What about:
Griffin
Connor
Colin
Asher
Beckett
Bennett
Graham
Harris
Owen
Oliver
Miles
Quentin
Declan
Keep us posted! Good luck,
Brooke
(I like for mn: Leander, Reed)?
I LOVE the name Corinne! Not many people realize that it's a classic name--French form of Cora. Corinna (pronounced Cor-EEN-a) is the English version. Corinna Joy would be sweet too!
Colleen and Jacqueline are beautiful names also, but Corinne (or Corinna) is my personal favorite.
As for your boy's name--naming boys was SO much harder for us! We had 3 girls and then a boy. It seems to be easier to find a more unique name for a girl. The classic boy names, like Michael, Thomas, William, etc. will always be ranked high. Cameron is a wonderful boy's name. Camden is really cute too! I think, between the two, I really like Camden.
Anyway, I don't know if this helps much, but you have a wonderful list of names so far! Good luck to you and congratulations on your first child!

Cynthia Loving wife to Matthew, proud mom to. . .
Girls:
We both like:
-Colleen (nm Lena)- Love nn Lena, but Colleen seems a bit outdated
-Corinne (nm Cori)- GORGEOUS! I love this name
-Jacqueline (nm Jackie)- Very pretty, but I dislike Jackie (outdated) I prefer Jax
I also like:
-Lillian (nm Lilli)- Way overdone, I would spell it Lily, Lilli looks odd
-Evelyn- cute
-Lorraine- a bit outdated, but cute
-Renata- nms
Corinne Joy gets my vote (could also consider Carina/Karina)
Boys:
-Cameron (nm Cam) Like it, a bit boring, but nice
-Jack I agree that its too close to your names, and also VERY VREY overly popular
-Caden - ugh, very trendy. Really dislike it
I like, but DH does not:
-Marcus- cute, spunky
-Gregory- Adorable, what about Rory as a nn?
-Callum- Love it, nn Cal is great. Could also consider Calder, Calvin, or Calman.
-Camden- see Caden
I agree that your girls list is much nicer than your boys, although I really like some of the names that your husband doesn't.
-Nikki
Jacqueline Renata...omg, I love it. don't know where it came from.
Marcus Reed, also think it is perfect
Good Luck
