my husband and I just found out that we are expecting our 3rd baby! I know names are going to be hard this time around because we had difficulty last time.

Congrats on your pregnancy! I'm sorry I'm of no help since I'm having a hard time coming up with names too. But I peeked at your profile and see that you're an Army wife--me too! And you live in FL? What kind of job does your DH do that you can live in FL? We are in DC and would love to move back to FL for DH's last 2 years. If you'd rather not post about it here, please email me at alohakim@cox.net

Thanks, and GL!

Hi there, Isa. Congrats on #3!

I like your kiddos' names. It seems that w/Julia & Aiden you need a simple & gender specific name to match. Here are some suggestions that fit in & also sound nice w/Smith:

Boys-

Brody

Corey

Colin

Conor

Caleb

Evan

Eli

Gavin

Garrett

Ian

Kyle

Nolan

Owen

Patrick

Ronan

Trenton

Tyler

Trevor

Tanner

I really like Kyle, Tyler, & Trevor for you.

Girls-

Clara

Cora

Ciara

Ella

Eva

Fiona

Ivy

Kira

Lily

Nora

Olivia

Phoebe

Rhianna

Violet

I really love Lily w/your kids' names.

Hope this helps!

I would definitely use a family name, even if you don't have one you LOVE. I like the idea of using Erik as a mn (or even as a fn?)

You have some great boy picks. Gavin goes perfectly with Aiden and Julia, it is so sweet and just seems perfect. Elijah is also really nice, the nn Eli is adorable. Cooper is okay, but has always seemed more of a dog's name to me. Logan is okay as well, but not as nice as Gavin and Elijah. With Aiden and Julia, I also like Colby, Collin, and Owen.

I like your boy picks much better than your girls. Sienna, Alexis, Riley, and especially Jordyn (is there a reason why you stuck a random y in there?) are all incredibly trendy and don't go with Aiden and Julia at all. Harper is too masculine, it just doesn't seem to fit, but Lorelei is nice (this spelling). How about:

Charlotte

Scarlett

Karina

Ruby

Audra

Mia

Amelia nn Mia

Lila

Cora

Bridget

Tabitha

Stella

Ada

HTH, let me know your thoughts,
-Nikki

I love both your childrens names...even if Aiden is very popular. Julia Grace is a very classic name and I think if you have another girl, you should definitely go with something of that style. If you have a boy, you have a little more leeway, I think (since Aiden is more contemporary). I like Erik as a mn option but am not fond of Jordyn at all-- seems very trendy to me (and very different from lovely Julia Grace). Ideas:

Girls:
Rebecca
Anna
Clara/Claire
Diana
Helena
Mary
Lauren
Sarah (to me, the perfect compliment to Julia)

or, if you really like trendier names:
Ava
Avery
Eva
Mara/Lara
Ella
Emma

Boys:
Garrett
Gavin
Justin
Jordan (I know there are lots of girls named JOrden, but I like it on a boy much better)
Michael
Nathan
Nolan
Cole
Preston
Cooper
Logan
Connor

I think Gavin Erik has gorgeous flow and is really classy sounding. I love the combo!!

I think you should drop Jordyn/Jordan altogether. It is a bit outdated and the trendy spelling will just make the name as a whole look unclassy. How about something like....

Amelia Charlotte Smith

Amelia Josephine Smith

Amelia Bronwen Smith

Amelia Dara Smith

Amelia Faye Smith

Amelia Natalie Smith

Lila Bridget Smith

Lila Maeve Smith

Lila Fiona Smith

Lila Corinne Smith

Lila Delaney Smith

With both Amelia and Lila I would avoid a mn beginning with an A, since they both end in one and then it would run together.
HTH,
-Nikki

Hi isawally

Well I can see that you and your husband don't like common names, but aren't into extremely weird names either. I think that all of your names that you like are cute. Just to let you know my son is named Draven Robert. It is very different and I get people all the time who either love it or hate it. There is no inbetween..lol

GIRL-- I absolutely love Sienna for a girl. I think it flows very well. It reminds me of a very pretty girl just like the name Julia. I am not to fond of Harper. I think it is a very harsh name. It really doesn't have that feminine flow to it. I do like Alexis, but this is a name that is used all the time. I know atleast 3 girls named this including my neice. So my favs are probably Sienna and Riley, but I think Sienna flows better with the rest of your children.

BOY- This is a hard one for me cause I like all the names. My fav. with your last name is probably Logan. Do you like the name Ethan though. I think that is a cute name and it would go very well with your last name. I think it is harder to find a boys name cause I truely beleave that husbands are more picky with there sons names. Plus with girls it is either cute or not and with boys you have to worry about it sounding too prissy and everything. I think Logan and Aidan go good together. Both masculine names..

Hi Isa, congrats on number on #3!

After reading the earlier posts, I think that Gavin Erik is a great choice that fits well with your other kids.

Girls: I agree that Sienna, Riley, and Alexis are all too trendy. Harper is one of my favorite name, but I am not sure that it fits well with Julia. In regards to Lila, I love this name, but I think it sounds too much like Julia and I get tounge-tied when I say them together. I like Amelia, nn Mia very much.

Here are some combos I like:
Amelia Rebecca
Amelia Pearl** this is my favorite combo
Amelia Jane
Amelia Joy
Amelia Brooke

Other girl names:
Felicity, nn Fliss
Iris
Ivy
Elizabeth, nn Libby
Sabrina** I love this name with Julia and Aiden
Caroline, nn Carrie/Carley/Caddie/Callie
Sarah, nn Sadie
Clara
Adeline, nn Addie
