Hi Ginger,
You've mentioned several times that your kid's names are compromises between you and your DH. I think I've heard your dd's story, what is the story with your ds? (Unless I have heard it! sorry)

Karen

ps. I put up a poll, we'll see what everyone thinks? I need something to do while I wait! lol

That was great, Ginger. I laughed, I cried ... ok well not really, but seriously thanks for sharing. I don't think our "struggle" has been nearly as interesting.

It's a great story!

Do you still miss not having had a Gainer? Although writing that I realize how it's even Closer to your name! lol ;)

Also my cousin's mn is Calder ;) good name.

Hello Karen.

I've been away this week.

Yes, sometimes I do miss not having a Gainer. I even considered Gaenor/Gaynor for my daughter...

Sometimes I wish I had that strong family connection to Gainer in one of their names.

Yet, each of their names fit them. It's more like- I would certainly want to use Gainer on a future child. But, I'm not having any future children!

Later,

Ginger

Hey Ginger! I know you are the expert in names so I need your help. Can you come up with some classic, traditional southern girl names (they don't have to be southern). I love double names but don't want to use Mary, Catherine, Anna or Claire. Charlotte is a great name but our friends just used it. I'm at a loss. Julia is a family name but I can't think of a good double name to go with it. Any help you can give would be great.
Thanks so much!
