What do you think of the name Ralston possibly as a middle name? It is a boy name just in case I needed to clarify!

It looks a little made-up to me, like an alternative to Halston or something. However, being that it's going to be used as a middle name, it's not atrocious. I think it's even better if it's honoring a relative or good friend in some way.
Best of luck!

I love it! Something like Ralston James? A simpler name to compliment the unique one. I honestly didn't know that Purina dog food was Ralston-Purina. I love it as a first name and I'm sure it will do fine as a middle name. Good luck!

Hi gals! Thank you so much for your replies to the name Ralston. I didn't even know that there was a cereal named that niether did I know that it was RALSTON-Purina dog food. Well, I am not sure what the future may hold for this name but we shall see! Ideas: Pierce Ralston

I was thinking if I had several boys that it isn't really fair to honour him with a name variation of his father and not the others. So this is why I dug deeper and found Ralston as an option. Then I though about naming them all the same middle name but not sure about that one. The middle name would be MacAllan"son of Allan" father's mn Allan.

The only reference that came to my mind was John Ralston Saul, the author. I think it's very distinguished sounding and the family connection is great. I might tend to put it in the mn spot if you're concerned about future sibs feeling left out.
