Is Reagan Feminine or masculine?

We just found out we are going to have a baby boy in April. We were considering the name Reagan, but now wonder if it is too feminine. What do you think? Do you think of a boy or a girl when you hear the name Reagan?

Thanks for helping us make up our mind!

I definitely think it's feminine...Regan was the name of one of the sisters in Shakespeare's King Lear. Despite the obvious Presidential connotation, I will always think of a girl when I hear the name.

If you do decide to use the name for your little boy, try to spell it differently so that people who haven't read King Lear won't immediately think "Ronald" when they see the name. Honestly, even though the sister in King Lear was named Regan, I prefer this spelling for a boy.

I always think girl's name - my dh though thinks it is a boy's name - he is reminded of the president and to him it is masculine
