Mone is pretty but I'd prefer it Monet to make life easier.

And I know...

Rotha (woman)

Carter (teen girl)

Tyann (woman)

Patience (woman)

Shashawna (woman)

Remle (woman) (pron REM-lee)

Pandora (woman)

Bieny (woman)

I would prefer Monet as well. She does have the accent over the "e" -- I just don't know how to type those here.

Karma is the one that really threw me for a loop. Seems like a heavy name to put on a child -- the central theme of any spiritual practice or religion seems off-limits to me for a name. Although, now that I say that, Grace falls into that category, and I like Grace. I guess I'd put "Karma" more in line with "Redemption," though, and I'd never consider that as a name. :)

Are you saying that you would never name your little girl Karma Grace? ;)

Some that I know of:
Karna (sister-in-law)
Katha (aunt)
Julayne (friend) pron Jah-lane
Aquafina (teen girl)

I think "Mike" was likely an informal nickname

Phillippine and Keo likely had an ethnic association

Mone should've been spelled Monet - if you only heard it and didn't see it, maybe it was

Karma is a little weird just because of what the word means

Trinette is definitely original, likely something someone made up, but as made-up names go it's certainly not bad. I know a Tennette (the name Tennette appears in the book "Heidi", she's the house help that takes care of Clara)

>>I think "Mike" was likely an informal nickname<<

I'm sure it is - I just haven't had the courage to ask her. She's a temp worker in our office.

I love Patience...we were in a gift shop the other day and I saw some cards by Patience Brewster (a little too perfectly Puritan to be real, that name) and I thought "I could see us with a Patience." (Not really, because she'd probably be called Pat and that's SO not my style.) But I like it.

Yuck, I dislike every single one of them!
