It's more trendy as a girl's name these days. I think it's one of those names that sounds really cute for a boy or a girl. I'm going to use is as a mn for my first son, but with the Reilly spelling, since that is my mother's maiden name. :)

I would say more common for a girl, but I definitely prefer it for a boy. It has a trendy feel for a girl and a spunky feel on a boy.

I was actually surprised to hear it on a guy about 27 the other day, otherwise all I know are female Rileys

I only know one. A boy about 4 or 5 years old.

I think its more common for a girl. I love it for a boy, though!

I think it's one of those that's going, if not already considered gone, to the girls.

According to the Social Security numbers for last year, it was more common for girls, but only slightly. There were 5100 girls named Riley and 4300 boys--a difference of roughly 16%.
