Rude input helped us decide....

We thought we had decided on a name for our ds, but when my in-laws heard we were naming him Magnus I heard every rude comment in the book!! My MIL said it sounded like MAGGOTS!! Not that I really care what they think, but I don't want my kid to have to hear rude comments like this all his life, so we went back to the drawing board. After much deliberation, we have finally decided on Alden Russell, which everyone seems to love...again, not that it really matters.

I'll admit I like Alden alot better than Magnus, but I would never be rude about the name you'd picked. I mean it's not their child, why does it matter so much to them? This past weekend I was at a family event and my SIL mentioned she liked the name Daxton if their baby is a boy. I'm not particularly fond of it, but definantly wasn't rude, but I was surprised by the rude comments I did hear. I guess that's why they say to keep it a secret until after the baby's born. WHen they look at the baby, they (if they have any tact at all), wouldn't say anything rude about the name then.
