I am so glad we have someone who can tell us what names are legit and not. All she asked for was your opinion on the spelling, not your opinion of the name. Another thing, every English name is going to have a different meaning in a different language. So, what does it matter if she likes the name Sahara? I think your comment was uncalled for. My daughters name is Reeslyn, is that legit?
As for cora_lefay,
I love the name Zahara. I think you should spell it like that, but whatever you decide to do, go with what you like; that is all that really matters.

Sorry but if you name your Daughter Doorknob it still will mean Doorknob, nothing changes that.
