My husband and I have been married a few years and now I'm expecting our first baby any day now. Since we don't know if we're having a boy or girl, we are still discussing both boy and girl names, but we keep facing a dilemma. We both love the name Samantha and agreed even before we were married that if we had a daughter we'd name her Samantha. The problem is this...my sister had a baby boy a few months ago and named him Samuel, so now we don't know if Samantha is too close to the name Samuel.
What do you think?

I've always loved the name Samantha. I agree with Donna -- as long as they are not both Sam or both Sammy/Sami, it shouldn't be too confusing.

Just reiterating what the other posters said. I don't think it's a problem at all to use the name Samantha. I like the name a lot! Great choice!

Good luck!
