Hi All-
No time for long introductions but there was a day when I spent more time on the baby name boards --- not sure if it was this one or the other name board.....however I do recognize some names.
I have two beautiful dauthers: Berit Elizabeth (7 yrs old) and Raegan Josephine (4 yrs old). WE had a lot of trouble naming Berit but with the help of manhy of this board we did it and it is perfect for her. My husband is Gunther and we try to follow his Norwegian heritage so that's where Berit came from and the Rae of Raegan.
Well, tomorrow we are having a scheduled induction for our son --- who two weeks early already weighs over 9lbs! Wow!
I think I'm okay on names but in the final moments I want to hear from the experts. Middle name must be Michael - it is family name my mother loved. Unfortunately, during this pregnancy my Mom and best friend (Stage IV colon cancer) and passed away in 5 months at the age of 65. Still getting through that but in her honor I'll use Michael. So, here's where we're at (drum roll please)
Larson Michael (Lars) Lou-Bin (won't say how it is spelled but that's how it is said)
Stennar Micahel (Stenn) Lou-Bin
Other contenders have been Stieg, Lange, Galt, Corbin, Steinar
Comments, issues, problems with either? Anything absolutely great Scandinavian name you can think of --- it's never too late until the paperwork is signed!
Finally, if we go with Stennar --- am I ok with the initials "SML" -- am I over thinking the small-medium-large or "smell" potential?
Thanks in advance for your input --- it will go a long way to calming down a somewhat freaking-out Mom right now! Never had a boy in the family anywhere - no brothers, cousins, nephews --- what do I do?? Thought we only made girls --- should be an adventure!
Thanks for your help - Brooke

I like your top choices, especially Larson.

I also like Steig and Stennar, and I wouldn't worry about the SML thing. I wouldn't have thought about it until you mentioned it.
I love Corbin, but it doesn't seem as Scandinavian to me for some reason.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
Love Larson and Corbin!
Also consider Nils and Dane.

Mom to Nolan Garrett
Lange is my favorite from your list, but I really love Kjell...I think it works with Michael, but I realize it's one of those "on the line" combos that could be dreadful or brilliant.
(And good luck tomorrow!)
Sorry about the typos --- I was in a big rush when I posted. Thanks for the responses - very helpful!
My pick is Larson - my husband's pick is Stennar. I've found the women tend to go to Larson and the men go with Stennar. Not sure how to make the final call.
Loved the other suggestions too - it actually helps to see other names I like - not sure why.
