I am looking for a Scottish name to use as a mn for either gender. I want it to be a REALLY Scottish name, so when you hear it, you immediately think Scotland. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My husband and I are both of Scottish heritage and we have decided that if we have boys their names will be Duncan and Ewan. For girls I like Maisie and Fiona.

For boys: Rory, Euan or Ewan, Fergus, Fraser, Archie, Seumas (rather than Irish Seamus), James, Collin, Ian, Donald, Keith, Kenneth, Kyle, Lewis, Findley, Gregor, Tavis, Craig, Stuart, Blair, or Gavin?

Alun, Bethan, Ceridwyn, Eowyn, and Rhodri are Welsh and Sorka and Grania are angliscized Irish names. Cool, though. I like Bethan.

Oops, I forgot, Gwedolyn is also Welsh. I kind of like it, too.

We have two border collies--they both have Scottish names. The boy is Colin and the girl is Fia; Colin means whelp or pup, and Fia means "dark peace"
