if you were transparently honest about this, could you admit to LOVING a name this is sort of....Unacceptable in a way?

Is there a name you secretly LOVE? that you might not have the Courage to use?

I love the name "Dominique Venus" for a DD.

What is your secret favorite name?

Oops, sorry! I was going through the posts so quickly and didn't realize you weren't asking opinions on it!

I still really like Chelsea but hate that everyone asks "like Chelsea Clinton"?

Yes, like Chelsea Clinton...but not. I really don't like their whole family so it bugs me that everyone automatically thinks of her...so there went that one.

Even though they are old fashioned a little, I still like Leonor and Anastasia.

I think Brooke is cute.

All of these my DH said no way to though, that's why I out them here...

I like Calliope. And if I could convince my husband that Greek names are cool, I'd totally name one of my daugthers this with the nn Callie. But no go so far.

How ironic Brooke, I was going to respond and say my secret name is Honor. I have never watched Scrubs, is that a name of a character on the show? I heard the name on Gilmore Girls, and I secretly love it. Its totally not my style, I do not like word names at all, and it would not go with any other sibling name, and DH would never go for it. But hands down, my favorite guilty pleasure. Wow, it felt good to get it off my chest!!

lol. that'd be pretty funny. who knows by the time your daughter grows up, Bridget Jones wont be a known name. It's not like its a classic movie or anything.

Yep -- I have a friend who named her baby Sarah Ferguson back when the former princess was in the middle of all the spunky brouhaha. My friend was concerned about that, but chose to name her baby the name she'd always loved anyway and obviously it's no big deal now.

I LOVE Dagny! that's the lead female role ( heroine) character in Ayn Rand's masterpiece novel "Atlas Shrugged".Dagny Taggart. Love the John Galt sequence, at the beginning of the third act when she crashes her plane in the valley.

"Dagny Magda",
"Dagny Ariadne".

I like these two middle names with Dagny.

I LOVE word names especially. They are similar to the Native American way of naming; such as : "Running Deer", "Laughing Brook","White Feather", "Sitting Bull",etc. etc.
which naming process I find romantic, and even charming custom even though I have no Native American blood in me, my son does (he's a 1/4 Blackfoot Sioux).

I like the idea of names that come from your bloodlines/nationalities or mixtures thereof.
Pride.

Also, I like how Gwyneth Paltrow named her daughter, "Apple". And Christie Brinkley named her daughter, "Sailor".
Shows Imagination & Creativity & Courage.

"Truth Honour" (spelled the british way with a "u"), is a beautiful, classy name.Love it.

well, isn't "Aphrodite" the same as "Venus" ? in Mythology both the goddess of love?
LOL, I LOOOOOVVVVVE the name "Venus", so....what could I say to "Aphrodite"? ;-)

But at least "Venus" is also a planetary body in our solar system, AND an Olympic woman athlete and an American sports legend.
