if you were transparently honest about this, could you admit to LOVING a name this is sort of....Unacceptable in a way?

Is there a name you secretly LOVE? that you might not have the Courage to use?

I love the name "Dominique Venus" for a DD.

What is your secret favorite name?

Bronwen & Willa for girls have always been favorites of mine. Totally does not fit style wise with my others AND our ln starts with 'W'. I'm not gutsy enough to use Angus or Felix for a boy, but I love them both.

"Huckleberry Finn" is a great name . DH and I both like it, and it goes with his LN of "W****le" perfectly.

Also like "Finland Israel" for a DS.

Jemima - I love it, but people always associate it with syrup!

It's pretty much the gamut of people's pet peeves:

I really, really love boy names on girls. Not boyish, but straight up boy: Elijah, Toby, Gus, Noah, Jack, Oliver. I knew a Jake when I was in college and I thought she had the coolest name ever. But I could never actually do that to a little girl. I probably won't even end up going towards androgynous names (even though I like Quinn, Piper, Sam)--they're are too many girly-girl names that I love.

I also really like word names, but know that I would never actually name my daughter Meadow, Lyric, Sonnet or Echo. I do have some seriously cool (in my mind) Puritan names in my family tree. I probably won't name a child Experience or Remember, but there's a little bit of my soul that really wants to have a baby Anastasia Experience. :)

Hey, this is what pets are for, right? For using those names you love but just can't name your kids! ;)

I would looove to have an imaginary family with girls named Linden, Azalea, Meadow, and Clover : )
Avonlea is also a favorite, and July.
Then, of course, the ones that are real names but that DF looks at me askance for... like Bernadette, Amarilla, Coraline, Marcella (loooove Marcella), Milton, Lowell, Sterling, Bartholomew, Bertram and Winslow.
We'll probably end up with Lydia, fyi.
