So I see a lot of questions on siblings names going together but what are your thoughts about the parents? I really want Brady (Braden) for our boy name. How does that sound with Jim & Stacey??? Will it be weird next to my name because they both have the eee sound?

I don't factor in parents names at all. The only time I really even notice is when parents find interesting ways to pass on their own names without making juniors. (Think Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith -- their kids are Willow and Jaden. I've always thought that was clever.)

I don't worry about the names going together too much. In fact, I only really notice when they DO go together too much (like a couple I know with a daughter Randall that they plan on calling Randi. And the parents are Ann and Andy. Ann, Andy and Randi is just too much of the cute!)

In my mind, my name and my husband's name reflect our parents' tastes. What we name our children reflects OURS...which may have absolute jack to do with what our parents were going after in a name.

ITA with the other posters - I don't think it matters unless they are too matchy.
