Should I give in to this name?

Hi all. Just looking for opinions here. We found out that #3 is a girl. We've had the hardest time coming up with names this time as we have 2 DD's already. We agree on absolutely nothing...the only thing were are close on is Alexis or Alexa. I want Alexis, he wants Alexa. I jsut don't really care for Alexa, and he likes Alexis but doen't want to use it b/c some guy he went to school with that lives down the street has a daughter named Alexis. I don't really care about that b/c we don't ever really talk to them unless we bump into them somewhere around town. Anyway, I plan on calling her Lexie anyway, so should I give in an go with Alexa even though it's not my 1st choice? BTW, our other DD's are Ashley and Abigail (Abby). Thoughts? Or any other suggestions for names?

Alexis is more popular all around than Alexa - I also think Alexa seems more feminine.
I feel like you calling her Lexi will take away from "A" theme with Ashley and Abigail, who you probably call Abby.
here are some other A names I like a lot
Aubrey
Amber
Amy (could go with Amelia and Amy as nn, I prefer Amy by itself though)
Angela (Angie)
Alyssa (Allie)
Allison (Allie)
Aleya (Allie or no nn)
Ariel
good luck
If you do not like the name Alexa then I probably wouldn't give in. I like Alexis too. My DH loves that name. I think if your neighbors down the street aren't really close friends then what the hey;) Do you think he will eventually cave? LOL!!

With Ashley and Abigail I like:
Amber
Aleah
Alannah
Aubrey
Addison (Addie)
Allison (Allie)
Ainsley
Alissa
Amanda
Amelia
Andrea
Ava
I like all of these. It would be hard to choose.
We have friends that named thier first son Matthew after we named our first Mathew. Now of course if you name your child a name like that you will get a few of those! But they figured they don't hang around with us that much anyway. We have ended up being really close friends! Our boys all just call eachother by thier full names. It is cute.
I like Alexa better than Alexis I think. I like the Billy Joel song. I think it is cute with your girls names. Jules
The 2 names are close, but if you aren't 100% i don't think either of you should give in. IF possible, keep searching for a name you both will love. I see the A theme and have suggestions for you, though I am sure you've read every book.
How about...annika, alyssa, avery, annaleise (sp?), aurora, aimee, aubrie, autumn
hth and good luck!
Why don't you both give in and go with Alexandria?
Forgive me, but I'm gonna give you my honest opinion on Alexis/Alexa. It's got to be one of my all-time least favorite girl names. And the nn Lexy/Lexie really just is not my style at all. I think the nn 'sexy Lexy' quickly follows when they get older and the thought of anyone saying that about my baby really is a turn off. Plus I think Alexis is very harsh sounding. But of course this is just my opinion.
I love Ashley & Abby! I would much prefer to see Amy, Ava, Anna, or Amber as the last link to this A-team trio.
Good Luck in your decisions! Hope I didn't offend you, my intention is to be helpful. :)

You don't need to stick with an "A" name. My brother and sister all have "J" names (along with our parents) and the three of us hate having the same letter initial. Everyone always seemed to get us confused. Just another perspective...
If you don't like either name I would suggest not using it.
