Should we change our choice?

We have been planning on naming our 4th boy Max Ethan O'Riley. We have had this set in our minds for quite awhile. I have always sort of been worried about the Maxi pad conotation for the name Max. And I was a little worried about the middle initial sound adding to that....

Now I am due in 2 weeks at the most. Last night my husband was singing and I thought he said "Maxi thins" I asked him "What did you just say?" and he said "Max Ethan". So now I am horrified that we have chosen the name Maxi thin for our son!

Is this a legitimate concern or am I being silly?

Our other favorite choice (since speaking to Dh tonight) is Max Thomas.

Thank you for your oppinion! jules

I'd go w/ Thomas! You'll forever cringe when you state his full name & doubt your choice w/ Ethan. And, yes, it does sound like Maxithin!

At first when you said Maxi pad connection I was thinking - eh whatever, I doubt anyone would associate Max with that. But then once you really do say Ethan with it, you are right it does sound kinda bad. Not sure how many people would 'get it' without it being pointed out, but surely some would.

Unfortunately, I love Max AND Ethan too! I would either come up with a longer version of Max. (you dont have to call him that every day, but it would make those formal occasions sound better) or ditch the Ethan. Either way works. I personally like Maxwell a lot too, so I would probably go the Maxwell Ethan route. but I have nothing against using Max standalone and think that Max Thomas is great too!
