I am currently 7 months pregnant, and my husband and I are deciding between two names for our baby girl-Sophia Lily or Jaqueline Erica? Please help, and give your opinion.

First of all, I LOVE the name Erica. It has all the characteristics of a really great name-
1. Classic
2. Hasn't been overused in any generation
3. Recognizable without being popular
4. Easy to spell
5. Feminine but strong
6. Has a good meaning
Sofia is gorgeous. I keep track of baby names and do not personally know one here in the Deep South. BUT, it is extremely popular by region, esp. the Northeast. The combo- Sofia Lily- is unstoppable, though.
Jacqueline Erica- Perfect flow, perfect name style together. Jacqueline is my least fave of all four names though...
If forced to choose, I would choose Jacqueline Erica, for the popularity issue.
If asked for a suggestion, I would suggest Erica Jacqueline or Lily Erica or **Erica Lily** to lower the popularity...and to make sure Erica was used! LOL Great choices, either way. Let us know what you decide, and good luck! Ginger

Sophia is ok. Popularity does not bother me (if I love a name, I would still use it . . . for example, I'd have not issue using the name Emily). But certain names that are currently en vogue hold no appeal to me, and Sophia is one of them. Objectively, it's a pretty name, but on a more subjective level, it just holds no charm for me.
So I'd go with Jacqueline Erica, without question!
Good luck to you! And I LOVE the name Jacqueline! :-)
