I like Breanna & Abigail. I would keep Abigail Lauren as is, but I might change Breanna to Breann b/c her mn is Payola - both have the "a" ending. - I like Breann Payola.

Possible girl names for James:

Jaime

Jamielee

Jamilyn

Jemma/Gemma

I actually really like James as a middle name for a girl. Yes, it's a boy name. And I'd never use it as a first name. But I think it's really pretty as a middle name for a girl, especially given the personal significance it holds for you. And since you are also using your mother's middle name, which is unusual, I think it is a fitting pair.

As for your other names, I love Abigal and Lauren but am meh about Breanna. It's okay, just not a favorite of mine. Breanna Payola is a bit rhymy though.

What about:

Lauren James and Abigail Payola
Breanna James and Abigail Payola
Lauren Payola and Abigail James

That last combination is my favorite. I LOVE Abigail James.

I think those names are lovely. Personally, I would drop Lauren as a mn for Abigail and using somethign related to your brother James, perhaps Abigail Jamie or Abigail Jameson? I think she would feel left out if her twin sister was named after someone and she wasn't. Its so nice to have family names in there, it will really make them feel special. Great names BTW.

Jamesina is the female version of James .

Breanna Jamesina and Abigail Payola would be so lovely.

If you really want to get James in there, I'd switch them around to Abigail Payola (for your mom) and Breanna James (for your brother), since Breanna Payola rhymes and Abigail Lauren has the Ls that run together. That way, both girls will be named for someone and not feel left out, KWIM? Also, unless you really like a version like Jamie or something, I think I'd just stick with James in the mn slot to really honor him, given your reasons.

Congratulations on twins! Wow! I agree with the previous posters who said to switch Payola to Abigail and use a variation of James with Breanna. Personally, I think you would be okay just using "James" but here are other suggestions:

Jame
Jamilla (doesn't work with Breanna by the way)
Jamese

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

As a BTDT mom to twins, you really, really, really should name both or neither after a family member. Otherwise you will forever be hearing,"Why wasn't I named after someone too?" and "Why isn't my whole name my OWN?". Trust me doing both the same is the only way to make everyone happy. I think it's lovely you want to honor your mother and brother this way too, BTW. James is fine as is for a mn. I do prefer the other posters suggestion of Abigail James and Lauren Payola. Both of those names go together beautifully andflow very well. Again, JMO!

My grandmother was named James-- for similar reasons. Her eldest brother was named james and he was killed in war right before she was born. She went by her mn: Pearl. I suggest using James a the mn for one of the girls:

Abigail James and Lauren Payola

(I don't like Breanna at all-- tacky-souding when compared to Abigail or Lauren).
