To all you Southerners....

What are the most popular boys and girls names in your area? Are there certain names on the rise? I'm so curious how the popular names seem to be different in different areas of the country.

I live in Baton Rouge and my family is from southern Kentucky. In my son's preschool class of 10 kids, there are two girls nmd Ashlyn, two Sarah's, and two Will's. (My ds is one of the Wills.)Also in his class -- Morgan (g), Kyndall (g), Dawson (b), and Miles (b). My neice in KY also has two friends named Ashlyn. I have also seen birth announcements in the BR paper for several Cole's, Claire's, and Avery's.

Wow! I am from Atlanta and currently living in South Carolina. My dd's Ashlyn but we have only met one other. In fact we are constantly having to explain her name to people. (they are always changing it to Ashley or Ashland)

Around here everyone still seems to like Emma, Abigal, and Madison for girls; Dylan, Ethan, Aiden or Hayden for boys.
