I know I want to name my son Jackson. However, I can't decide whether I want to spell it Jackson or Jaxon.

I LOVE the name Jackson but really do not like it spelled Jaxon. I don't like the trend of all the altered/different spellings...I say just go with the classic spelling that is easiest to pronounce!

I really dislike Jaxon...it just totally changes the feel of the name for me. Honestly, Jaxon seems trashy to me while Jackson feels more classic and timeless.

Jackson is the traditional spelling and whatever you choose, it is probably the spelling he will get by most people. I, personally, prefer Jaxon but would be aware that even if I named my kid Jaxon, everyone else would still write Jackson.

Bummer....

IMO Jaxon is going to look dated really fast, won't work as well on an adult man, and he would always have to correct people on spelling.

Jackson is classic and ages well. I LOVE it!

If you like trendy spellings maybe you could do a middle name in that style?

I have to say I like the tradition spelling better.... I always had to correct people on my maiden name, and finally gave up!

I like the spelling Jaxon but you need to think about nn. If you spell it Jaxon then people might call him Jax (which I think is cute) and if you spell it Jackson then it will probably be Jack. I thought of the same name and thats what someone brought to my attention.
