Hi, Im having a baby girl in january. Me and my b.f have decided on the name Riley Nikole but unsure on which way we should spell Riley..so I was just wondering which way all like best
Riley
Rylee
Ryleigh
or if you know of any other ways of spelling it you can let me know thanks guys. :)

My husband and I are TTC our second child, and I LOVE Riley for a girl! I prefer Riley, but I like Rylee too. I think Ryleigh looks a little forced. HTH-

Riley and Reilly are the most acceptable Anglicizations of Raghallaigh, so I would definitely stick to one of these. I've only ever seen boys with the Reilly spelling, probably because Riley seems more "Americanized" and therefore more susceptible to the current cross-gender naming trend. I believe Riley is the most common spelling for girls (actually quite popular ... in the top 50 or so if I remember correctly), so that would be your best best.
As to Rylee and Ryleigh ...
For some reason I would want to pronounce these as ril-lee (short "i"), and they look very trendy and misspelled. The "-lee" ending isn't as attractive and looks even more masculine, and the "-leigh" ending looks forced. It's fine if you like a traditionally-masculine name for your daughter, but using a non-traditional spelling looks trendy and uneducated (I would think the same of a boy named Ryleigh). If you really like the name, Riley would be the best spelling for you.

I think Riley is the best spelling - nobody will stumble over the pronunciation.
Good luck!
I like Riley best, it is simplest and most recognizeable, so it will avoid spelling problems. I think the real issue is Nikole- what is up with that spelling? Nicole is the proper spelling.
-Nikki (Nicole)
I think Riley, especially since you're spelling Nikole the more uncommon way, KWIM?
