still having the Adrian dilemma! help!

Hello!
my baby is coming in a little over 2 weeks and we still aren't sure of his name! My Dh finally agreed to the name Adrian, but I am so afraid of what others might think of the name. We also still can't find a decent middle name that will go with Adrian!
some choices so far...
Adrian Tyler
Adrian Luke
Adrian Carter
Any other suggestions? Please help!
thanks!
Stacie

OK, I really think that Adrian sounds a bit feminine. I know it's a boys' name, but it's too close for comfort to Adrianne etc. When I tried on names for my two boys, I pictured them as cute and confident ("yes! He could pull off the name George!") and then small with glasses. ("oh, no! Life will be even harder as a George!") I just wouldn't want to make life any harder, and I think Adrian might make it harder.
Have you floated it by people? I know a lot of people say they don't like to do that, but I do believe that there can be a pregnancy induced naming fog that people can get into and it helps to hear what others think. They may point out something obvious that you won't notice until he's born.
I'm not a huge fan of Aidan, but it's got a similar feel to Adrian. If you like the A names, what about Alexander or Andrew?
About the middle name. I really wouldn't worry about it too much. Give him a middle name that has so family meaning...a grandparent's first name or last name, or your maiden name. The three names are used together so infrequently, the flow doesn't really matter all that much. I like meaning versus the runner up first name.
I like Adrian, in theory. But probably wouldn't use it. It seems feminine and too close to the ton of Aidans out there. Have you considered Adam, Anton or Alec?
Having said that, though, if you and your DH love Adrian, others will adjust to it.
Middle name suggestions:
Adrian Cooper
Adrian Joseph
Adrian Michael
Adrian Reese
Adrian Connor
Adrian Thomas
I like Adrian Tyler and Adrian Carter, too.
I like Adrian Carter. How about Carter Adrian? Or Luke Adrian? Here are some other similar names:
Anders
Ashton
Alec
Good luck!
Stacie, naming a child is one where you have to follow *your* heart, not the potential opinions of others.
My brother is Adrien Peter. He is tall, smart, stong and handsome, nothing feminine with him :)
Good luck with the birth and picking the perfect name for your little one :)
Hi Stacie,
I think Adrian is a wonderful choice!
Adrian is a great name! I think it's strong and sophisticated. So what if it has a feminine form? So do lots of names.
Those middle names all sound fine to me. GL!
