Still having problems

Hi Ladies,
My husband and I are still having troubles with naming our baby girl. We only have 10 weeks left and we really can't agree on anything. My all time favorite name is "PAYTON RILEY". He hates it. Basically he hates anything that I come up with.
His names are as follows:
Daisy Dixie
Gracie Faith
(and other southern sounding names that are off the wall)
Most of his names sound weird.
When I looked up the name Payton, it states that it can be used for a boy or girl. I've wanted that name since I had my first daughter. We finally chose Melissa Marie for her.
Any kind of guidance would be really appreciated.
Thanks alot,
Trishia

I hate to say this, but if he hates Payton Riley you have to just forget about it. You can't name your daughter something that he hates. He also has to forget about the names that you hate (I must say that Daisy Dixie is REALLY bad). After you get rid of the hated names, what is left?
DH and I had the same problem with our DS. He wanted Clarence (after his grandfather), Percival (after an uncle) or Robin (after an uncle). He wouldn't budge. I would actually cry about it - the whole naming process was that bad. He also hated the names that I wanted (my favorite was Duncan but made DH think of Dunkin Donuts). After much hemming and hawing we finally came up with two names - names that neither of us loved, but both liked - Edward and Benjamin. We did it by making lists individually, swapping lists and crossing out names that we couldn't live with. We didn't finalize until after the baby was born and we decided he was more of a Benjamin than an Edward. To this day DH tells me that he really thinks our DS looks like a Robin and regrets not naming him that. Naming a baby is not an easy thing to do - but you and your DH will find a name if you stick to it.
WELL SINCE HE LIKES COUNTRY NAMES IF YOU COME UP WITH YOUR OWN MAYBE HE'LL BUDGE! I LOVE THE NAME PEYTON AS WELL BUT MY SO, CANT STAND IT... SUGGESTIONS ARE
SAVANNAH LYNN SAVANNAH FAITH
KARA DAWN
GRACE ELIZABETH
can you get your dh to agree to payton as a mn? maybe Faith Payton would be a good compromise? I think that sounds really pretty! i hear ya on loving a name your dh hates. i ALWAYS wanted to name my 1st girl Jacey. DH HATES it with a passion. we didn't get to use it at all when our dd was born. then again, he loves the names Derrick and Trevor for a boy and I just don't like them. guess it equals out. Hope you both can find a name you love!

Daisy Dixie ????????? does he want her to be ridiculed her entire life. I'm not slamming either name on its own, but the pairing is obviously ridiculous.
I like your Payton Riley, even though I try to avoid unisex names. Payton is one unisex name I like somewhat, although I really still like it for a boy.
I doesn't match up to well with Melissa Marie though, which is so feminine. Keep trying to sell him on Payton, since he obviously doesn't have any winning ideas, but here is a list of names I think would do well with Melissa - you pick the middle.
Amanda, Amber, Aubrey, Brianne, Brianna, Brielle, Brenna, Courtney, Chelsea, Cara, Delaney, Desiree, Dannah, Erica, Heidi, Hilary, Janna, Jocelyn, Jillian, Johanna, Kara, Kyndle, Kelsey, Mackenzie, Mallory, Molly, Maura or Moira, Natasha, Natalie, Reegan or Raegan, Rayna, Rhiannon, Sabrina, Sienna, Sierra, Samara, Tonya, Torri, Tasha, Teegan or Taegan, Whitney.
one name I really like that has become popular late is Piper. even though it's not a frilly-type feminine name, it's girls that it's being used for lately. I think it's really cute. maybe you could sell him on that instead of Payton?
good luck
