I like both Camilla and Josephine. Yes, I prefer Josephine as the given name for Josie. Joelle is nice, too, but I don't like it as much.

I have NEVER thought of the chameleon thing. How about Cecilia? LOVE that one, too.

And I think they sound lovely with Eva Katherine!

As for middle names, I am not a fan of the "phone book middle name strategy" -- whereby you just pick one out of thin air. There must be someone whom you would like to honor somehow? How about yourself, for goodness sake? Josephine Kellie? Cute! Or your maiden name to honor your whole family?

I have to say I think Camilla Louise is just gorgeous - and sounds great with your DD. I prefer Camilla to Josephine. I like pp suggestion of Cecilia, too - some similar names are Cecily, Celie, and Celia.. but I just love Camilla Louise!

I really like Josephine with Josie as a nn. There is an adorable 4 yr. old at my church whose name is Amanda Josephine, and she goes by Josie. Joelle is nice too.

Have you considered Joanna? I think that sounds nice with Eva, also.

I love Eva Katherine and I think either Camilla or Josephine would be a great fit.

Camilla is a great name -- classy, pretty, feminine but not frilly. If you want a nickname for it, you could go with Milla or Millie, both of which are cute. Josephine is equally great, though -- I'd have a hard time choosing between them. Josie is far too nicknamey for my taste as a given name, and I don't think that it grows up well, at all; but it's such a cute nickname for Josephine. Both names go fine with Eva. I wouldn't worry about the chameleon thing, by the way: it wouldn't occur to most people, and even if it does, so what? Claire sounds like bear, for example, but that doesn't mean it's not a lovely name.

I love both Josephine and Josie, and I do think Josie stands on its own just fine. My vote would be one of those.

AJ, enjoying life with C.
