I have to say, I really like Hadley over Madison. I find Madison very trendy and dated. That said, maybe the best idea is to compromise by eliminating BOTH Madison and Hadley and starting fresh?

I'll admit, Hadley seems more trendy to me than Madison because Madison (though not my style...I'm an old-fashioned girl name girl) has been established for two decades, but Hadley is making this abrupt shoot up the charts. You've loved Madison a long time...I think it's where your heart is.

I don't think it's fair to him to get stuck on one name and not even be willing to consider something else.

Yeah, my dh is being the same way too. He hates everything I have suggested and is fixated on one name. I don't know why he thinks he gets to choose anyway, I'M the one who went through that horrendous morning sickness for 14 weeks, I'M the one giving up my coffee and

While I don't expect you to give up a name you love, I do find that Hadley has quite an alluring quality. Maybe you should give your DH the same back - and stick it in as MN. I personally think Nicolette Hadley is really sweet, I chose it over Nicola to avoid sibling-same-sound-ending.
Hope this helps :-)
