Hi all!

I'm expecting baby #2 end of December and I'm having trouble coming up with names this time around... that is, names that my hubby and I can both agree on!!! Never mind that boy's names have been especially hard this time! I guess I just wanted some opinions on what I've got and some more name ideas. For a boy I

Hi Pamela,

I agree w/ Devon. I like Ethan John. If you really like Steven - I'd use: Steven Jonathon Jackson.

Other boy combos: Austin John, Aaron John, Oliver John, Elijah John, Ellis John, Patrick John, Courtland John, Louis John, Gabriel John, Kyle John, Cameron John, Carter John ( also like John Carter), Preston John, Spencer John, Truman John, Sullivan John

For girls - I like Maia better than Nadia

Oher combos:

Luke Paul &...

Hey girls,

Thanks for your input and ideas. Very insightful.

Devon, you're right... with boys names I've been very simple and sort of traditional, but to be honest, I haven't found anything that's a bit more "out there" that I actually find appealing. That or else it seems that boys names are very repetitive throughout the years. As for girls names I just fell in love with the name Maia (you're right about the "h" too... when I wrote it earlier it reminded me of Mariah - which I associated with Mariah Carrey). My hubby doesn't really seem crazy about it though... any ideas how I can convince him?

And do you think that Ethan is becoming an overused name for boys like Emily and Emma have become for girls? I don't know if I like that it's charted so high on the popularity scale... what are your thoughts. Also, when I read Ethan beside John earlier I almost saw "Elton John"... anybody else see this? Or maybe it'd be fine as Ethan John Jackson... thoughts?

Any other thoughts on any of this or my previous listed names would be appreciated :)

Thanks!
Pamella

I like all of your choices- I just wanted to comment on the name Maiah. I could see your DH thinking that is has a Hawaiian feel to it, esp with that spelling. However, I seem to recall seeing Maya
