I'm not pregnant yet but we're trying so I was hoping to come up with some boy and girl names. We already have two wonderful boys, Ethan James who's 3 and Caleb Matthew who's 16 months. Here are the names that I like. Please feel free to add your own and to eliminate the ones you don't like. Just let me know why you've either added or taken away a name. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Girls:
Ashlynn, Abrianna, Emma, Riley or Ryleigh, Lynelle, Reagan, Kendall, Gillian or Jillian, Kyleigh or Kaylie, Lydia, Natalie, Trista, Gayle (as a mn), Kendra, Gabriella or Gabrielle, Chloe, Emilie, Briallen, Brilynn, Brianna, Beccalynn, Aubrey or Aubrie, Audrey, Arianna, Allie, Kylie, Ryann (as a mn), Abigail, and Jeannette or Jeanette (as a mn).

**Jeannette and Jeanette is my grandmothers and mine mn's and Gail is my mothers middle name.

Boys:
Andrew, Blake, Noah, Braden, Brendan, Derek, Jordan, Austin, Scot (as a mn), Dalton, Dylan, Bailey, Elliot, Elijah, Camden, Cayden, Garrett, Ian, Isaac, Joel, Kole, Kyle, Nicholas, Zachary, Payton, Ryan, Shawn, Tanner, Conner, and Trent.

Also here are some family members that I wouldn't mind honoring some how but it's not nessacary... My mom- Linda Gail, My Dad - Jerry Wayne (not big fan of his mn.) :), DH mom -Leda Jean, DH grandma - Gloria Jean, and My Sister- Tanya Noi. We've already honored DH grandpa - James by giving his name to my 1st son as his mn.
Thanks,
Carrie and Nathan

Of your girl names, I like Jillian and Gabriella. Gayle is lovely as a middle, or even first, name. If I had to eliminate one name, it would be Riley/Rileigh. I think it sounds best as a boys' name, and plus it has become way too popular.

Of your boy names, I like Andrew, Noah, Brendan, Dalton, Eliot, Elijah, Isaac, Joel, Kole, Kyle, Tanner and Trent. If I had to eliminate one, it would be Braden. To me, it seems too made-up, and the "bray" reminds me of a donkey, lol.

I would find trying to honor your dad kind of tough, too. What about his initials, J.W.? Your son could honor him by carrying on that tradition - Joel Wyatt, for example? Just a thought.

Good luck to you!

Hi there!

First of all, I like your boys' names. The style I get from them is traditional and modern at the same time. Popular, but not the most popular names out there. With this in mind, here are the names I think you should consider. I think these names all fall into the traditional-without-being-boring category.

Gillian or Jillian (prefer Jillian spelling. Gillian looks too close to Gilligan to me!)
Lydia
Natalie
Trista (not traditional, but very pretty and not trendy)
Gayle (as a mn)
Gabriella or Gabrielle
Emilie (spelling could cause confusion, but it is an appealing variant.)
Brianna
Arianna
Abigail
Lynelle (not traditional, but nice and not trendy)

I think the others are either overly popular or overly trendy-sounding.

Others to consider?
Emilia or Amelia
Ariadne
Kira
Gloriana (variant of Gloria)
Tatiana/Tatyana (not sure if this is a variant of Tanya, but it's similar, and you could say you were honoring your sister)

Boys:
Andrew, Blake, Noah, Brendan, Derek, Jordan, Austin, Scot (as a mn), Dalton, Dylan, Bailey, Elliot, Elijah, Garrett, Ian, Isaac, Joel,Nicholas, Zachary, Ryan, Shawn, and Trent.

I just deleted a few here because I thought they were too trendy sounding. Also, I'm not sure about your spelling of Scot. Could cause a lot of confusion and constant correcting of people. "No, it only has one T" etc. I particularly like Elliot, Noah, and Andrew.

Thanks for posting! Good luck!

Cara
