Suggestions for future #3, adopted

We already have two DDs -- Megan Joy (nn Meg) and Julianna May (nn Annie). My DH and I are looking at adoption for our third child and will probably do either a Guatemalan adoption or a domestic adoption of an African-American/biracial child. I'd like to include a name with some cultural/family significance at least in the mn slot. (My DDs' middle names are both family names.) I'm open to any naming inspirations that happen to come during the adoption process, but I'm trying to get a head start. :-)

Oh, and FYI, DH and I are Scott and Stephanie, and our last name starts with H, is 11 letters long, and is difficult to spell (German/Dutch name).

Some first names that we like for boys are...
John (nn Jack)
Nicholas (nn Nick)
Alexander (nn Alex)
Eric/Erik
maybe Maxwell (nn Max)

I also like Isaac, Jonah, Aaron, Garrett, etc., but DH isn't impressed. :-P

If we adopt a boy from Guatemala, one mn I've considered is Miguel since my brother's mn is Michael, and he will likely be the godfather. Other family names we'd consider in the mn slot -- John, Paul, Charles, Gregory. Ideally, I'd like to use both John and Paul in the name, but maybe that's a little "too Catholic" so soon after the previous Pope?

Some first names I like for girls are...
Amelia (nn Mia)
Mia (on its own)
Maya
Maleah (nn Leah)
Melina
Sabrina
Nora (or maybe Eleanor/Eleanora)
Gabrielle/a
Michaela
Eliza
Ava/Eve/Evelyn
Greta

I also love Elena, but think that it's too close to Julianna/Annie. I don't think DH likes any of those -- he likes Katherine (nn Katie/Kate) and Erin. Family names we might use in the middle name slot -- Jane or Jeanette (trying to combine Jean and Annette from grandmothers' names), Frances, Alice, Marilyn.

TIA for any new suggestions -- especially those that might appeal to both DH and me! :-)

Hi Stephanie,
Just came across your post the other night and thought I'd give you a reply. I think it is great that you want to adopt. I know of a couple from DH's work that adopted two girls from G and know of others that have adopted African-American and bi-racial children domestically. You'd be in good company lol

If nothing else, just have fun reading through these names!

Girls:
Chelsea
Chloe
Caroline
Clarice
Camille
Elise
Jocelyn
Larissa
