You can use the Celtic spelling "Edan" (which is a form of Aidan, and is still pronounced the same). It means "little fire; flame". I think it looks much more feminine (probably because it kind of reminds you of Eden when you first see it).

I like Edan and Aden but I've always seen it spelt Ayden or Aydan for girls.

A family member recently named her daughter Ayden, and it has been a real challenge. It is so popular for boys right now that many people assume her baby is a boy.

I would say Ayden. But I find it more of a boy name, haven't really heard it for girls.

I think of Aiden as a boy's name, and it would be nice to keep it that way. It sounds quite masculine, plus it is very popular for boys right now.

What about Alaine?

I think putting a Y in it somewhere would make it appear more feminine

Ayden, Aydyn, Aidyn, Aydin.

normally I would not go for this, but I'm kinda liking the one with the two y's the best.

good luck.

If I were interested in making the name Aidan look more feminine, I might use something like Aydanne. Though I'm sure you would get some people suggesting that you just use the traditional "Aidan" for a girl as well.

For me, I would personally, I would probably attach an "a" to the end also, to make it more "feminissima": Aidanna or Aydanna.

Best of luck to you!
