Think I finally decided on girls name
| Wed, 11-01-2006 - 4:10pm |
took me forever to post again cause I just couldn't make a decision on
which girls name I wanted.
There were lots of great names suggested here and I thank everyone for all their help.
Think I've decided on Raelyn to go with Darian, Ashton and Kaitlyn
the only problem I still have with it is that it ends the same way as Kaitlyn.
Does anyone think it's too close in sound?
Now I just need to come up with some middle names lol

My initial reaction when I saw Raelyn was that it ends exactly the same as Kaitlyn (before I read that it was a concern). So yes, I think they are too close. ;)
Also, it doesn't seem to have the same feel as Darian, Ashton and Kaitlyn, which seem more Irish/English modern, while Raelyn comes across as more of a dated American creation/combo name, KWIM?
I would look for something that ends differently from your other three children's names and possibly something closer in style.
I can't remember if you were using Raelyn to honor someone? If so, perhaps a simple alteration would help, such as Raeline/Raelene/Raeleen (giving you a "leen" rather than "lyn" ending and slightly changing the emphasis and overall sound of the name).
