Think I found the perfect girl's name!

For me at least. Tell me what you think:
Jane Evangeline Alexander
Jane = my mom and great-aunt -- almost 90 - who was so good to my dad when he was getting started in his young adult life (he was orphaned). Also, the middle name of my best friend.
Evangeline = combination of the women (other than mom) who influenced me most, Evelyn and Josephine. My aunt Evelyn died with Alzheimer's in 1992, and my grandmother died the same year.
I also love that the name means "good news from God" ... we'd probably call her Evie just to avoid confusion with my mom.
WDYT?

It's lovely and what a wonderful way to honor those you love. Good luck with your little girl.

I really like the name. I especially like Jane. I am curious as to why you are concerned about calling her Jane. I can't imagine any confusion between your daughter and your mother. You call your mother, Mom. Baby will call her "Grandma". the only one in the family who would call both your Mother and your Daughter "Jane" would be your father. I can't see this causing a problem. Jane is MUCH MUCH lovelier than Evie. If you want it cutesy while she is little, you could call her Janie.
My father, my brother and my nephew all have the same name. There is never any confusion. My father is Dad or Granddad. My brother is Dad or Uncle and my nephew is Joe.
I LOVE the name and think you should call her Jane or Janey, not Evie.

I think this name is wonderful! I especially love the nn Evie (pronounced "EH-vie"). I know a little girl named Evie and she is just precious! Best wishes to you and your baby girl!
