Melisande, Millicent, Miriam, Montserrat (I've seen it mentioned a couple of times here, but so infrequently that I'd still consider it a name that is obscure).
These names are not really obscure, but seldom suggested or mentioned on the boards:
Constance (I am surprised b/c a lot of people favor old fashioned names now, and Constance seems to have been left out of the trend)
Erica
Lisa (maybe some people view as dated, but I think it still has viability as a name)
Lynne (with all of the emphasis on "simple" names, such as Rose, Grace, Anne/Anna, Jane, I am surprised that Lynne is not more popular)
For boys, I never hear names such as: Brian, Gregory, Keith, Kevin, Paul, Robert etc. suggested on the board (or rarely), and while these names might not be "fresh" in some peoples minds, I prefer them to a lot of the less traditional boys' names.
One name that I really don't hear mentioned on this board is Delia. My nephew's mom is named Delia (27 years old). When I first heard the name I really didn't like it but it has grown on me and now I kinda think it is a nice name. Of course, I could never use it since she and my brother are not together and I'm sure he would not appreciate having a niece with his ex's name. LOL

Elspeth, which is actually an English version of the name Elizabeth.

Thaddeus
I especially like Raphael, but DH would never go for it.

I don't hear these mentioned much if at all. Some are oldish, some are just more "out of use."
