I think Sullivan Wilkins sounds the best. Baxter is an interesting name but honestly it seems more like a pets name to me. I actually knew an older man named Baxter once and it just seemed really weird to call him that. Sullivan is a nice strong name and I like the nn Van.

I prefer Baxter...I went to college with one. (Actually, it was his last name but he went by it so exclusively that it was more than a year before I found out what his given name was.) It's a little quirkier, a little more fun, so I'd pair it with William rather than put two really uncommon names together.

Good idea to test names out on strangers rather than family!!

Neither name is my style so it's hard to be positive about them.

I think Sullivan is very cool. Baxter is the name of my basset hound so it never works on people for me.

I actually really like both names - but for the middle name i'd stick with William.

I prefer Sullivan to Baxter (which sounds like a dog's name to me). I'm not crazy about the nn Sully though.
