Thoughts on these names?

I think DH and I have decided to take several names to the hospital since we can't seem to make up our mind now. For a boy, we're pretty much set on Christian Scott. Girl's names are more difficult for us, though. What are your thoughts on these girls names, and will they all "grow" with her as she gets older? What about potential sib sets for later on (i.e. do some "go" together better than others)? Since we can only use one now, I'd like to leave open the option of using others later on.
Lorelei (possible nn Lola)
Nora (not sure if Nora or Norah looks better)
River (This isn't everyone's style, but I think it's a lovely name paired with a more feminine mn. I'm concerned that it doesn't "grow" with a child, though)
Fiona (I love the nn Finn)
Juliana (Classic name although I'm not crazy about the potential nn Julie)

Lorelei (possible nn Lola)---- kinda nice and not too common ( always a plus in my book)
Nora (not sure if Nora or Norah looks better)--- definitely norah with an 'h'- it softens it somehow.
River (This isn't everyone's style, but I think it's a lovely name paired with a more feminine mn. I'm concerned that it doesn't "grow" with a child, though)- not big on river as a name ( way too common). although i loved it once, my general rue of thumb is once the name becomes a "soap opera name", it's time to rethink it.
Fiona (I love the nn Finn)---not crazy about fiona, but i do love the nn
Juliana (Classic name although I'm not crazy about the potential nn Julie)---juliana with a double nn or maybe julianne? anne for nn or maybe jules?
Lorelei (possible nn Lola)-Very sweet however, I worry how both Lorelei and Lola will age. Lorelei would be great on a teenager but I have a hard time seeing it on a small child or baby. With Lola, I can see it on a young child but not on an adult.
Nora (not sure if Nora or Norah looks better)-I definitely prefer Nora. This is a lovely name that will age beautifully.
River (This isn't everyone's style, but I think it's a lovely name paired with a more feminine mn. I'm concerned that it doesn't "grow" with a child, though)-I've never really thought about River for a girl, but I quite like it! I think it would age well.
Fiona (I love the nn Finn)-I adore Fiona however, I'm not crazy about the NN Finn on a girl. I think Fiona ages very well.
Juliana (Classic name although I'm not crazy about the potential nn Julie)-I like Juliana a lot. None of the Juliana's I know get called Julie, the only NN's they get are Jules or Ana. I think Juliana will age nicely.
Lorelei (possible nn Lola) - great with Christian Scott! My favorite on your list.
Nora (not sure if Nora or Norah looks better) - I also love Nora (the H is extra fuss that I do not care for). I am hearing this one a lot lately
River (This isn't everyone's style, but I think it's a lovely name paired with a more feminine mn. I'm concerned that it doesn't "grow" with a child, though). Interesting, but hard to match with sibs. I don't think this will age well.
Fiona (I love the nn Finn) - Ohh Finn on a girl is very intesting! I really like this option. You may also like Fiora
Juliana (Classic name although I'm not crazy about the potential nn Juli - can't get into this one. Annabel is much nicer IMO.
good luck,
Brooke
Thanks belle_petite for the siggy!
Hello again.
Lorelei has been on your list for as long as I remember seeing you on the boards. That should be of major consideration to you. I think I remember seeing Julia/Juliana and Fiona on and off too. Juliana is somewhat more common because it mixes with the hoard of -ana names. Fiona is LOVELY but will see some continued growth. Lorelei will always lurk without jumping into mainstream. It has that elusive quality- it's not for everyone but most people understand its appeal. It seems sassy and sweet on a tot and sexy and intriguing on a grown woman. It also seems like the best match with a future possible sibling named Christian...
Oh, now for the middle names...don't I recall this being a concern before (Michelle is coming to mind???) or the possible combination of Lorelei with Juliana or Fiona (which I'm not wild about for some reason)...
Norah is sweet and lurks on the edge of popularity. It will blend even if it doesn't scoot up the charts because of the crowd of short, old names. Envision classroom- Ava, Ella, Eva, Leah, Mia, Norah, see what I mean?
River is
Ginger
I also like Juliana, but I think "Julie" or "Jules" are almost inevitable as nicknames because Juliana is so many syllables.
I don't like the nn Finn for a girl, because I love the name Finn on a boy. Fiona isn't really my style anyway.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
