Time is ticking for boys name........

We have a 2-day old baby, and can't decide on a name. It's between Rhett or Evan. Both are Welsh, and we'd like a Welsh name. However, I'm considered that Rhett is a confusing name to some (Brett? Brent?, etc). Seems I have to spell it out to everyone as I say it. With Evan, my concern is that it is too mellow of a name for a man. Both names I love, I just need some honest, first instinct/impression feedback.

I like both names but I think Evan flows better with your last name.
I love Rhett and dont' find it at all confusing; but Evan is very accessible and not at all too soft for a man to use (think of Steve Carrell in "Evan Almighty.")
But I understand how hard it is to make the final call--my son was two days old before we named him; it's just so darn hard to make such a major call that's going to brand this kid for the rest of their life. (At least for me...maybe I think too much.) In our case, we just kept bouncing each of the 9 names on our list off of him and nothing seemed to stick until finally I was watching him and he had this incredibly thoughtful look on his squishy little newborn face and I said "what are you so pensive about?" and my husband and I exchanged glances and went back to the name that had been at the top of the list--Penn. I think...the right choice will come to you. It's okay to wait for it (as long as the kid's not three months old, or three years old, and still just "the baby.") Is either one just really saying "this is it..." but you're second-guessing yourself?
