Too close?

Are William (Will) and Lillian (Lily) too close for siblings? Other girl names we are considering are Emma, Samantha (Sam), Charlotte (Charlie), Audrey and Kate. Thanks!

Yes, they would be too close for me. I think William/Will and Charlotte, Audrey or Kate would be wonderful names for siblings (although I'd slightly prefer a more formal name for Kate, especially since William isn't simply Will).

I like Kathryn and then call her Kate.
I also like Elizabeth and call her Libby.
It looks like I'm in the minority, but I don't think they are too close, as long as Lilian is never "Lil" (like Lil and Phil in Rugrats :) ). What about Lilia or Liliana? Lily as a nn seems different enough.
Have you looked up other full names that give you the nickname "Kate"? I guess Katelyn (in all its variations) comes to mind, but that is awfully common - not sure if it qualifies as a classic yet, either.
What about Margaret (nn Meg or Maggie)? It has a similar feel to Elizabeth and Katherine.
I agree that Will and Lily are too close.
I don't think the names will be to close especially if you call your son Will and your daughter Lilly.
Good luck!
I don't think Will and Lily are too close. I have a friend with a Liliana. They call her Lily. If it worries you though, I say go with one of your other choices. I love all of them! Kate is my favorite. It is so simple and sweet. I think it stands great on its own, and doesn't need to be a nickname. Audrey is also very pretty.
