Too close?

I like the name Rylan for a boy. My second son's mn is Ryley. Would this be too close of names?
We love the name Kyler but my nephew's name is Tyler. Would anyone see this as a problem? We do see my nephew and he does babysit for us as well.
And what about Kendall for a girl? My cousin's son is Kendall. We only see them once a year, if that.

Thanks for your suggestions. Dylan is way too popular around here, Wiley I don't really like. Kyran - never heard this one before. Not too sure about it yet, lol, I have to think about this one. :)

I think all of those just depend on if they're too close for YOU, KWIM? While I might or might not use one of them for the reasons you mentioned, I don't actually see anything wrong with them, unless it's something that would bother you personally.
Since Ryley is your older son's mn, it wouldn't get confusing or anything, as long as you don't mind the names being similar. I had the same dilemma with naming this baby Abigail, since my oldest's mn is Abrielle, but it didn't seem to bother anyone else and my husband REALLY wanted to name her that so I think it's special enough for us to overlook that, if that makes sense. We did make sure to avoid pairing it with any mns similar to Kaitlyn's fn, so the names were distinct and didn't sound like a reversal of one another, though. For example, Kaitlyn Abrielle and Abigail Katrina - just off the top of my head LOL - sound much too close for sisters, IMO, but Kaitlyn Abrielle and Abigail Fiora seem much more distinct.
Same thing with the cousin's having the same or similar-sounding names. It all depends on if it will bother you. We have a really big family and purposefully avoid using the same or very similar names (because there are a LOT of kids and whenever we're all together it can get confusing LOL), but that didn't stop us from naming our second daughter Devanie, even though I have a cousin named Devin (similar) who lives in another state and whom we barely see.
Another you might like is Kylen/Kylan ... a good compromise between Rylan and Kyler, without sounding too similar to either Ryley or Tyler! ;) Just a thought!

Kylan? Pronounced just like Rylan?
Edited to Add: Kylan is too close to my niece Katlyn, which, I'm afraid to say, is a child I really don't want my child named similar to.

I think Rylan and Ryley are too close, even as first and middle for two different kids, unless you're trying to honor the same person by choosing a variant of the name.
Kyler and Tyler, however, wouldn't bother me. My daughter is Kadyn May and my niece is Kaylee May (she's a couple months younger than my daughter and we "had" our name picked first) and that doesn't bother me at all. It's a little confusing when they're together, but we love our daughter's name and my sister loves her daughter's name so neither of us felt guilty about using similar names. It's not like they're in the same class at school.
The Kendall issue wouldn't bother me, either, unless you're afraid your daughter might feel strange having the same name as a boy cousin (this from someone who named her daughter Kadyn - clearly a boys' name - so don't take it the wrong way).
Good luck!

Than
Rylan - Rylee --> I don't think its too close... I don't know that I would use it personally but I see no problem in. If it bothers you, don't, but it's fine
Kyler - Tyler --> again, fine.
Kendall --> I think that would be a lovely choice, and the connection shouldn't bother you, beautiful name
