Too many C's?

My daughter has a son, Connor, and a daughter, Chelsea. She is expecting her third and thinking about Charlie for a boy. She thinks it may be too "cutsie" to have all C's. Opinions? Any suggestions for names that go with her children's names?

I am personally not a fan of naming sibs w/ the same beginning letter. In fact, I made it a point to make sure each of my kids' fns started w/ a different letter. I do think that "Connor, Chelsea & Charlie" is too cutesy, but they're not my kids, and at least they don't all start w/ the same sound. Still, I'd suggest coming up w/ another name than Charlie.

How about:
Davis
Forrest
Brian
Leo
Matthew
Patrick
Garrett

It is a bit cutesy for me...Connor and Chelsea together are cute because they don't start with the same sound. If she does want another C to have the new baby "fit in". I would find a soft c name.
I am a huge fan of Charlie though - so it is tough not to vote yes for it!
Good Luck!

If she loves Charles/Charlie best, then I think she should use it. But if she's choosing it because she thinks she "needs" another C name, then I think she should keep looking until she finds the name she loves best.

All in all, I would not intentionally choose all C names or all A names or etc. But if the names I truly loved best happened to be all C's or whatever, then I would use them, no question.

Charles is my father's and my brother's name and so it's a family name but she also loves it.

I agree with pps that if she really loves the name then by all means use it. If she is at all worried about it being to "cutesy" than perhaps she try thinking of another name.

I do think it is a little cutesy, but again if that is her absolute favorite name, then go for it.

HTH.

Normally, I would try not to use the same letter for every kid, but I love all three names. Connor and Charlie are on my boy list, while Chelsea and Charley are on my girl list. I think Connor, Chelsea, and Charlie are adorable!
Good luck,

She isn't intentionally trying to find a name starting with C but Charlie is a family name ( my Dad.s and brother's name ) so it does have some special meaning. Charley for a girl is cute too. Is that a nn for Charlotte? She doesn't want to know what this baby will be ( she didn't know with her other two either )

I do think it's too cutesy. I would avoid any C or K name.

Connor, Chelsea, and ...

Sophie
Lila
Gemma
Meredith
Bridget
Shannon
Jessica

Nolan
Liam
Owen
Eric
Adam

Thanks for responding with suggestions. Sophie is my puppy's name so I don't think she would do that. Her last name starts with L and she doesn't want alliteration. They are thinking about Ethan and I got on the web site that was suggested and there were some great names there. I agree that it's too cutesie to have all C's.

I just clicked on your blog-Wow! That's amazing. I'm sure it broke your heart to have to leave those precious children.

I guess Sophie is out then- too bad! I do really like Ethan.

It definitely broke my heart leaving them, I don't think I will be completely over it until I go back next summer!
