hello!! i like elliot and emilee. i dont think they are too close at all. i dont mind the same letter thing. i am joanne, my sister is judi. the only problem is-if you continue to have kids-you might feel "trapped" into using the same letter again. i know a family with a kayleigh, kryztian(christian)and an ayden. i asked her why not kayden, but she didnt like that name and she didnt like any other k names so she went with ayden. theres nothing wrong with it-but he might feel left out when he gets older. anyway, i like your choice of names. good luck!!

I don't find them too similar at all.

The same letter thing is a wash to me.  Some people love it, some hate it.  I have a friend who has 3 children and they all have the same initial.  She loved just putting the initial and their last name it items and having one of the children get it to bring it home when it was lost.  Others like having different initials to label similar items within the household.  I grew up with two brothers with the same initials and they were close in age...it was no biggie.  The much bigger issue was my brother and sisiter who had very similar names...think Jerry and Carey.  It was a good thing that there was 12 years between them.

i dont think they are too close. My family has lots of sibs with the same letter sounds. my sister's daughters names are Tristan and Tatum. I have 3 half sisters and their names are casey, candice and kennedy and 2 step sisters named kayla and kyra. lots of the same sounds, lol. we are expecting our 3rd child and if its a girl Elliott is top on my list! Love the name!
