Is this toooo trendy?

I am 23 weeks pregnant with a GIRL!
We want to use a family name like we did with our son.
We were thinking OLIVIA GRACE (after both grandmothers Olivia and Graceline)
or GRACE OLIVIA.
I don't typically like trendy, top 100, common names but these names mean something to us. Would if be too common to use these? Do you think we could get away with calling her "Livia" or "Liv".
Any input would be beneficial. My husband says what ever you want is fine with me. You decide!

I think both names are beautful. I don't think that Grace Olivia flows as well as Olivia Grace does, and both nn either Liv or Livia I believe are just fine.
HTH,
Lisa
I would say that Olivia and Grace are both popular now, but they're not "trendy." They're not new, made-up names -- they're old classics that are making a comeback. In your case, you would be naming your DD after her grandmothers, and I think that's wonderful. Be aware that there will probably be other Graces and Olivias in her class, but if that doesn't bother you, then it's a wonderful choice. I also think that Liv is a very cute nn.
Olivia Grace or Grace Olivia would be a beautiful choice. Good luck!

I think it's a perfect name! Olivia Grace sounds so sweet and flows so well.
The best part is that it is after both Grandmothers! How adorable. I'm loving this little girl already! :-p
Go for it girl, and good luck!
First, can you dh come and give mine lessons? If he had that attitude, I could have my little Erik!
Now, onto your question, Olivia is in the top 5, and Grace is in the top 15. So, I guess in that respect they are "trendy", or very popular. However, these are names that I think are popular with good reason. They are lovely, and I'm not sure how they ever went out of fashion, as I feel they are right there with Elizabeth and Katherine. Also, naming can be so tough as it is, I don't really look at how popular a name is. If I love it, I'm going to use it. Plain and simple (says the woman whose 2yo has the #1 name in her state). Also, you have good reason to use it, in honor of two people you love. I think Livia or Liv are fine as nn's, in fact I think Livia is fine as a given name, if that would help your feelings toward it. But I definitely think you should use it if you want to. Oh, and I like tha flow of Olivia Grace the best.

I would go with Olivia Grace. I'm not sure where they are in the top 100, but I definitely hear more Grace/Gracies than Olivias. I love that the names have meaning to you guys, and I would definitely stick with them in their original form, using Livia, Livi or Liv as a nickname.
Congrats on your baby girl!
